December 21, 2012 - In line with its aim of becoming a leading European player, supporting the best students and researchers, Unicredit & Universities offered one scholarship aimed at young graduates in economics, banking and finance who wish to take PhD courses at one of the best universities in Europe, the U.S or in any of the 22 countries where UniCredit is present.

The scholarship is aimed at:

1) the best students of all 22 nationalities where UniCredit is present who have a degree in economics or finance from any European/non-European university (also outside the geographical area of the Group);

2) the best students of any nationality with a degree in economics or finance from any European university within the geographic area of the Group.

To be eligible for the competition, candidates must have obtained a degree in economics or finance with a top excellent final grades after 30 September 2010.

The scholarship amounts to €25,000 for the 2013-2014 academic year, renewable for a second year. All tuition fees for the duration of the scholarship will also be reimbursed.

The winner is  Ahmet Arda Gitmez from Koc University of Istanbul.
