AWARDS - SCHOLARSHIPS AND FELLOWSHIPS

Welcome to UniCredit & Universities!

In March 2009, the Board of Directors of UniCredit Group established a private Foundation in memory of the Knight of Labor Ugo Foscolo former chairman of Banco di Roma. The Foundation is charged with sustaining academic initiatives in the fields of economics and finance.

The Foundation’s main purpose, according to articles 2 and 5 of its statute, is to grant scholarships and fellowships in an amount and quantity established by the Board of Directors of the foundation.

The scholarships are offered to talented graduates who wish to pursue their studies abroad in pursuit of a doctorate. The scholarships are annual and can be renewed for a further year. In 2009 UniCredit & Universities announced the eighth Crivelli Scholarships, the first Ugo Foscolo Europe Scholarship and  the Leopold Gratz Scholarship. The new announcement for 3 Crivelli Europe scholarships is now open.

The fellowships are offered to talented researchers who have completed an economics or finance Ph.D. abroad, are teaching or conducting research outside of Europe and intend to continue their work at a European university.  In 2009, the first Ugo Foscolo Europe Fellowship was announced. The new announcement is now available (submission deadline: October 31, 2010).
