Support for studies - Us PhD Scholarship

March 28, 2013 - The second edition of the contest for 1 US PhD Scholarship, allowing one student to attend a PhD programme in Economics or Finance in the USA from the academic year 2013-2014, is now closed.

The winner is Vira Semenova. She will attend a PhD programme at MIT Department of Economics from the academic year 2013-2014. Congratulations!

The competition is open to graduates from any of the 19 countries of Central Eastern Europe in which UniCredit operates. The winner can attend a PhD programme in Economics or Finance for the academic year 2013-2014, at one of the following five most prestigious Universities in the Unites States (in alphabetical order):

1) Chicago Booth University
2) Harvard University Department of Economics
3) MIT Department of Economics
4) Princeton University Department of Economics
5) Stanford University Department of Economics

The scholarship amounts to € 25,000 (gross of taxes) and is valid for one year and renewable for a second year. All tuition fees for the duration of the scholarship will also be entirely covered by the Foundation.

There is no specific application form for this scholarship on our website, but candidates must submit (or have already submitted) a complete application for a PhD program at the University website. All students from our 19 CEE countries accepted at any of the above Universities for a PhD programme in Economics or Finance starting from the academic year 2013/2014 will be considered for a UniCredit & Universities US PHD Scholarship award.
